ORGANIZER
The "Kitchen Insight Plus" Kitchen Design Competition is sponsored by Panasonic Vietnam Co., Ltd. During the 50-year journey of bringing sustainable values to the lives of Vietnamese people, Panasonic with its constant innovative solutions has maintained the leading position when it comes to appliance solutions in living spaces. The cutting-edge technology in combination with scrupulous aesthetics of each product form a healthy and comfortable lifestyle of each Vietnamese household.
Since 2021, following the first season of Kitchen Insight contest, Panasonic Vietnam and the Vietnamese interior design community have engaged in various activities, collaborating on research and contributing creative designs for living spaces and high-end appliances. Kitchen Insight Plus (Season 2) introduces a new kitchen design competition, allowing designers to showcase unlimited creativity with more open kitchen space models.
The competition is professionally endorsed by the Vietnam Interiors Association, the socio-professional organization of the interior design community in Vietnam.
PARTICIPANTS
The competition is open to Vietnamese citizens aged 18 and above, including individuals, units, groups with expertise and interest in interior design, furniture construction, landscape design, home styling, or commercial product design…
Architects, professional interior designers, specialists, or freelancers can participate. Students enrolled in recognized colleges or universities are eligible to join individually or in groups (up to 5 people). Besides the general prizes, students have the opportunity to compete for the Young Potential Interior Designer award.
Participants can submit more than one entry, and there is no participation fee.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS & SUBMISSION
Theme: Kitchen Insight Plus – Discovering The New Luxury
Main competition category: COMPREHENSIVE KITCHEN DESIGN (KITCHEN PLUS)
Design a home kitchen following the comprehensive kitchen model (Kitchen & shared living space, Kitchen & dining space, Kitchen & lounge, Kitchen & entertainment space, relaxation, etc.). Unlimited design styles, meeting the competition theme and scoring criteria (refer to prize structure and evaluation criteria).
No limitation on design area.
Designs can be entirely new or adapted from existing projects, ensuring compliance with the organizer's product application requirements.

Sub-competition category: CMF SURFACES OF HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE COLLECTION DESIGN
Participants creatively design materials and colors for a collection of 5 household products provided by Panasonic to honor the Japanese value of the products and express the theme "The new luxury." Product link at: https://bit.ly/tulieu3D
Participants can creatively design the product display space (optional).
SUBMISSION
Entries must be sent directly to the email: kitcheninsightplus@gmail.com. The competition ends on December 15, 2023. Entries must be received before 11:59 PM on December 15, 2023, to qualify as valid entries.
Entries sent by postal mail will not be accepted.
SUBMISSION DOCUMENTS
Each entry must include the following items:
For kitchen space design category:
- Minimum 10 (ten) perspective images of the completed comprehensive kitchen design, including at least two images showing selected product angles within the space for efficient identification and verification by the organizer.
- 01 Floor plan file (PDF format) of the dining kitchen space.
- 01 File (doc. or PDF) outlining the design message of the author (up to 1000 characters): Participants can present ideas freely using images, PDF files, or videos.
- Fill in personal information in the registration information form: https://bit.ly/kitcheninsightplus
- Front and back photos of the identity card (if the participant is an individual or a group; for group participants, only the representative or group leader's photo is required).
*Note: In case participants compile and send the submission via Google Drive, access rights must be set to "View" for the organizers to check and accept entries.
For household appliance collection design category:
- Minimum 10 (ten) perspective images of the product, with at least 01 color/material option (minimum resolution of 3600x3600 pixels).
- 01 File (doc. or PDF) outlining the design message of the author (up to 1000 characters).
- Fill in personal information in the registration information form: https://bit.ly/kitcheninsightplus
- Front and back photos of the identity card (if the participant is an individual or a group; for group participants, only the representative or group leader's photo is required).
- Participants/teams can submit more than one entry, with no limit on the number of entries for each category.
Requirements for organizing and naming FOLDER (illustration images) when submitting via Google Drive (In case participants send files directly, the order and naming of folders still apply along with the specified competition title as below):

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Entries that meet the requirements are those that fulfill all the organizer's specified criteria.
The organizer holds the highest right to choose and publish competition entries on the competition's media channels. Published entries are considered valid competition entries.
Entries must comply with local customs and traditions, avoiding negative or violent content, and refrain from spreading political ideologies.
Competition entries must be the creative product of individual or organizational participants. Participants/teams must take responsibility for copyrights and intellectual property rights as per legal regulations.
The organizer has the right to use images, materials, and designs for communication and promotion purposes of the sponsor's products as well as the competition.
JUDGING PANEL & EVALUATION CRITERIA
The competition is judged by a panel of 5 reputable experts from the fields of architecture, interior design, and kitchen design and appliances nationwide. All votes and decisions of the panel are final.
The judging panel evaluates all qualified entries based on the following criteria:
For kitchen space design category:
Best application of function and aesthetics of Panasonic's product line: Design prioritizes and respects the high-end, luxurious, and Japanese value (15%).
Aesthetic appeal of the overall kitchen design (35%): Harmony between products and space, integration of kitchen space and combined spaces.
Functionality & practicality of kitchen space design and combined spaces (35%).
Design expressing the uniqueness and unique ideas of the designer to explore the concept of "Discovering a new luxury" (15%)
For the CMF (Color, Material, Finish) Design category of the kitchen appliance collection:
Coherence (20%): Design demonstrating the connection and harmony in the aesthetics of the collection.
Aesthetics (30%): Design showcasing innovative applications of materials and colors to honor the high-end aesthetics of the collection.
Applicability (30%): Ideas demonstrating high applicability and feasibility in real development and production.
Brand Image Representation of Panasonic (20%): CMF design honoring the overall design of the collection and reflecting the "Japan Value" spirit of the Panasonic brand.

For the category of Classic and Traditional Kitchen Design: Applied to design concepts following a specific direction or incorporating high-end traditional and classical elements (prioritizing Indochine style, modern classical style, art deco, contemporary styles, etc., or utilizing traditional materials from Vietnam or Japan, ...).
1st Prize: 100,000,000 VND
2nd Prize: 50,000,000 VND
3rd Prize: 30,000,000 VND each
For the category of Modern & Futuristic Kitchen Design: Applied to design ideas in modern luxurious styles (modern luxury, Scandinavian, Japandi, minimalistic styles, etc.) or innovative concepts geared towards the future (futuristic).
1st Prize: 100,000,000 VND
2nd Prize: 50,000,000 VND .
3rd Prize: 30,000,000 VND each
